A total of 30 people have now been charged as part of a three-year police investigation into alleged corrupt payments to a court clerk.

A further seven people were today charged in connection with perverting the course of justice and misconduct in a public office.

In August 2011, Munir Patel was jailed for three years for making illegal changes to the computer system at Redbridge Magistrates' Court.

Patel also advised people on how to avoid being summoned to court while working as an administrator at the court.

In 2011, a court heard £53,814 in cash was deposited in Patel’s bank account while another £42,383 payment was transferred into the same account without explanation.

Last week, 23 people were charged in connection with Operation Theemin.

Today Ali Hussein Mohammed, 30, of Bow Common Lane, Bow, and Mohammed Babar, 32, of Twickenham Road Greenford and Reza Chatroodi, 37, of Upper Berkley Street in central London were charged with perverting the course of justice.

Parminder Ghatora, 31, a deputy office manager of Windmill Road in Coventry, was charged with misconduct in a Public Office.

All 30 accused will  appear at Westminster Magistrates' Couty on February 13 2014.
