A teenager who twice sold crack cocaine to undercover police officers has been ordered to report to a youth offender panel for 12 months.

The 17-year-old from Chingford, who cannot be identified, was sentenced yesterday at Stratford Magistrates’ Court over two counts of supplying the class A drug.

On August 28, he sold 731mg of crack to an undercover officer and on September 9 he sold 523mg to another in Hatfield, Hertfordshire.

The boy must attend meetings of the panel, comprised of community volunteers and a member of the youth offending team, which aims to rehabilitate young offenders.
