A parish council has agreed not to increase the portion of council tax which it receives from residents this year.
Buckhurst Hill Parish Council announced this week that the precept which it collects will be frozen for the second successive year.
The council collects £68.89 from Band D households per year.
Councillors were pleased to arrive at this decision in the current financial climate.
Sylvia Watson said: “We’re in a strong position compared to some other councils which are faced with having to increase their precept by large amounts.”
In 2013 the Council moved its office to Buckhurst Hill library to reduce its costs.
