A nursery is encouraging its children to embrace oriental culture ahead of Chinese New Year.
Staff at Kids Inc nursery in Cleveland Road, South Woodford, has been a organising a range of acitivities throughout January to celebrate the year of the horse.
Children have been making replica's of the Chinese flag, drawing horses, making horse masks and designing envelopes containing money to give away as a New Year gift.
Nursery manager Nicola Belgrave has also been encouraging children to learn about Chinese traditions, such as using chopsticks, making lanterns and dragon dancing.
The 37-year-old manager said: "It is so important to provide an inclusive environment which embraces culture and the traditions of all families who use our nursery."
The nursery will be continuing to run the activities up until Chinese New Year on January 31.
