A Conservative councillor is due in court today charged with possessing an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.
Nick Buckmaster, Tory councillor for the Larkswood ward, is alleged to have had a black air-gun and intended to cause Brett Stark unlawful violence at College Gardens in Chingford on Saturday.
The 50-year-old, of Mount Echo Drive in Chingford, will appear at Thames Magistrates’ Court.
