A man accused of driving a van at a policeman is set to appear in court.
Samuel Sullivan, 23, of Barn Mead in Doddinghurst, is charged with dangerous driving, driving while disqualified and driving without insurance on the A414 in Ongar on May 22.
He is accused of failing to stop following a request from a uniformed officer and then accelerating his Ford Fiesta van towards him.
The officer managed to jump out of the way of the van.
Mr Sullivan will appear in Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court today after pleading not guilty to all charges on November 18.
