Derelict units on a supermarket site are due to be demolished this week.

The redevelopment of the Sainsbury’s store in Torrington Drive, Debden, will see the buildings surrounding the car park torn down to make way for an additional 50 parking spaces.

The work is part of a 12-week refurbishment during which time the store is closed.

The supermarket will be closed until late March while the work takes place.
