Barkingside Magistrates' Court in Cranbrook Road, has re-opened following reports of a suspect package.
Police have confirmed the envelope package was found to be non-suspicious.
The package contained a piece of wall paper inside a folded envelope.
Emergency services were called to the court in Barkingside, at 11:10am today following reports of a suspicious package inside the building.
A member of staff in the post-room raised the alarm with the police as the envelope was though to have a suspicious sticker.
Part of the buildling had been evacuated and a cordon area was set up outside the court.
A specialist bomb disposal team, two fire engines, two fire and rescue cars and a commanding unit attended the scene.
The incident was stood down at 1pm.
