A man has been charged over abusive tweets sent to MP Stella Creasy.
Ms Creasy was targeted along with campaigner Caroline Criado-Perez after they campaigned for Jane Austen to feature on a £10 notes.
The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has said 33 year-old Peter Nunn, of Emersons Green in Bristol, has been charged with sending malicious communications.
Chief crown prosecutor for CPS London, Baljit Ubhey, said: "The CPS has authorised the Metropolitan Police Service to charge Peter Nunn, 33, from Bristol, under section 127 of the Communications Act (2003) over messages allegedly sent to Stella Creasy MP.
"This case was reviewed in accordance with the Code for Crown Prosecutors and guidelines issued by the director of public prosecutions on prosecuting cases involving communications sent via social media."
Nunn is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on February 6.
Earlier this month two Twitter users pleaded guilty to sending menacing tweets to Ms Creasy and Ms Criado-Perez at the height of their campaign.
Isobella Sorley, 23 of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, and John Nimmo, 25 of Tyne and Wear are due to be sentenced today.
