A self-taught photographer has captured some dramatic images after learning his craft from youtube tutorials and books.
The work of Ian Parker, 40, of Manor Road in Waltham Abbey, includes dramatic landscapes featuring views of London and intimate shots of nature.
He used software called Lightroom to add distinctive atmosphere by draining the colour from the city to emphasise the richness of nature in the foreground.
Mr Parker said: "I used the effects in such a way because I felt the city portrayed pollution and smog whereas the Abbey represents open space and fresh air.”
Mr Parker started taking pictures two years ago.
