Very sad , the council left Ive farm derelict far too long . They should hurry up and make it part of the park or let people grow on it .It's a lovely fenced off green space and there are a lot of families who would appreciate them opening it up again. They should have put CCTV a long time ago as there are serial fly tippers who dump stuff there too .

Can somebody explain how a building that looks less than twenty years old should be derelict?

Condolences to his loved ones.
This land has been underused for years.
Maybe it will be the new Orient ground if they achieve promotion.

Although it may not have benefited the victim, can someone say whether a fire service response would have been more timely had local government not been to adamant about shutting down fire stations?

No because loads of fire engines turned up with numerous firemen. More than enough to tackle the small blaze which ended in this tragedy. A friend who lives in Church Road said there were several police and firemen all over the place for ages.

This place hasn't been used in around 10 years. They built changing rooms a few years back which have never been used for its purpose.

People are also forgetting that a young woman was raped there a few years ago so a murder shouldn't wake much up.
