A man was robbed and beaten as he walked home from work.

A 27-year-old was attacked by two men in Tidys Lane, Epping, as he walked home from Epping underground station at around 11 pm on Monday.

The thieves kicked the victim in the head and punched him repeatedly before stealing his iphone 5 and £100 in cash.

The victim was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital and discharged on Tuesday morning.

Police investigating the incident have taken the victims clothes for DNA analysis.

No arrests have been made.
