A teenager was attacked and had his shoes stolen in the third reported violent incident in Epping in less than two weeks.

Police have today revealed an 18-year-old man was assaulted and robbed in Hartland Road, Epping, at around 3.50am on Saturday, when streetlights in the road were off.

The teenager, who works at the George and Dragon, was attacked by two men, who took his iphone, cash, watch, bank cards and Nike trainers as he was on his way home from a night out.

He was hospitalised after suffering facial injuries in the attack.

Attacks on Nathan Innes Harrero on Jan 15 in Albany Court and a 27-year-old male in Tidys Lane on Monday, at around 11pm, are not being linked to Saturday’s incident.

Police have arrested two 15-year-old boys on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm to Nathan Innes Harrero.

Anyone with information on any events can contact police.

Epping High Street after midnight is like the wild west. The trouble is centred on the usual suspect bars and one nightclub in particular. They are careful that there is no trouble in the club itself, but the trouble is in surrounding streets. Drug dealing goes on a few roads away from the club, while the hobby bobbies stand around chatting to the bouncers and eyeing up the totty coming and going form the club. Who is getting the brown envelope to let this go on?

There is at least one local Tory bigwig who likes a free sherbert or two in there.
