A flood alert has been issued for areas of the Epping Forest District.
Ongar, High Ongar and Fyfield residents are being advised to be prepared for flooding although no action needs to be taken immediately.
Low lying land including roads and gardens near to the River Roding are most likely to flood.
The environment Agency is monitoring the Upper Roding Valley and will update their website with information.
