Water levels on the Lower River Roding have begun to fall after several days of heavy rain caused a flood alert.
The river remains on flood alert but dry weather last night meant water levels have now begun to fall.
The alert was issued on Wednesday night and warned that low-lying land, roads and gardens were likely to flood in areas including Wanstead, South Woodford, Woodford Green, Ilford, East Ham and Barking.
The Environment Agency is monitoring the situation.
