A woman has been fined after admitting two counts of fly-tipping.

The first incident involved Carly Titelbaum dumping four black sacks of rubbish in trade refuse bins without permission on July 3.

The crime was repeated on July 16 when Ms Titelbaum asked a friend to dispose of a further five bags of waste in the same place.

Ms Titelbaum was contacted after council officials identified her as the owner of the car used to transport the rubbish.

Epping Forest District Council brought the prosecution and investigates all reports of fly-tipping.

Portfolio holder for environment, Cllr Will Breare-Hall, said: “We provide an excellent kerbside collection service for household waste and encourage residents to recycle as much as possible.

“Residents can take extra waste to Essex County Council's recycling centres at Luxborough Lane in Chigwell or Brooker Road in Waltham Abbey.

"There is no excuse for fly-tipping.”

Ms Titelbaum was fined £100 and ordered to pay an additional £50 in costs, at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on January 21.
