The Lower River Roding has been taken off flood alert as water levels continue to fall.

Dry weather last night meant conditions improved, and the Environmental Agency withdrew the flood alert for the area at around 11.20 this morning.

The alert was issued on Wednesday and warned that low-lying land, roads and gardens were likely to flood in areas including Wanstead, South Woodford, Woodford Green, Ilford, East Ham and Barking.
