Two men have been charged with burglary.

Police were called on January 27 to a home in Hollybush Hill, Snaresbrook, at around 1.30pm to reports of two men who breaking into a home.  

Police dogs and helicopters attended the scene and arrested a man in the garden of the property, before discovering a second hiding in a shed in the garden.

Andrew Sadler, 33, of River Park Gardens, Bromley, appeared at Redbridge Magistrates Court on January 28 charged with burglary.

Louis Shillingford, 26, of no fixed abode, appeared at Redbridge Magistrates Court on January 29 also charged with burglary.

Both are due to appear at Snaresbrook Crown Court on February 10.

Superintendant Ellie O’Connor, of Redbridge Police, said: “This is a perfect example of a member of the public noticing something which doesn’t look right and calling the police straight away.

“I cannot stress enough the importance of calling police immediately if you notice anything suspicious.”
