A date has been set for the trial of a Conservative councillor accused of threatening a man with an airgun.
Nick Buckmaster, 50, of Mount Echo Drive in Chingford, appeared at Snaresbrook Crown Court yesterday and spoke only to confirm his name.
The Larkswood ward councillor is due to enter a plea on April 17 ahead of a trial date of November 17.
He is accused of threatening Brett Stark with the weapon in College Gardens, Chingford, on January 26.
He was released on unconditional bail.
