A murderer who escaped a mental health centre will appear in court today.
Convicted killer Lerone Michael Boye, 27, was on the run for 100 days before being caught during a planned police operation last month.
Boye is charged with being unlawfully at large after escaping from a unit in Kenworthy Road, Homerton on October 16.
Boye was finally found and arrested at a house in Elderberry Close, Chigwell on January 21.
He was sentenced to 28 years in prison in December 2012 for the fatal stabbing of 17-year-old Kelvin Chibueze in Ilford on August 15, 2011.
He has been remanded in custody to appear at Wood Green Crown Court today.
