Children and staff at a nursery have been recognised for four years worth of environmental improvements, building work and classroom efforts at their site.
Church Hill Nursery School and Children’s Centre introduced energy-efficient lighting, insulation in roofs, walls, floors and pipes and boiler improvements to better the school’s green rating.
The Eco-Schools Green Flag Award was given to the nursery in January after it was recognised for improving children’s understanding of environmental issues and bettering the environment around the grounds.
