A man featured in a CCTV appeal yesterday has come forward to police.

The man wanted in connection with the theft of two antique clocks in The Maltings, Sawbridgeworth is not being treated as a suspect.

On January 11 the clocks, worth a three figure sum, were stolen from Cromwell Antiques Centre.

The incident happened at about 2.35pm.

Anyone with information is urged to contact PC Tom Bennett, or his colleagues at Loughton, on 101.

Alternatively, call independent charity Crimestoppers.
