Part of the route of the Tour de France has been officially confirmed, despite the remaining part of the route to central London remaining undecided.

Stage three of this year’s le tour on July 7 will run from Cambridge to Epping Road, with the remaining route through Redbridge, Waltham Forest and central London yet to be decided.

Roads will be closed for several hours before cyclists arrive from Chelmsford, and travel through Willingale, Fyfield, Moreton, North Weald and Epping.

The tour will cover 33 miles of road between Epping Forest, Redbridge and Waltham Forest before entering central London and finishing at Trafalgar Square.

Councils are already making plans for road closures and traffic disruption.

Why bother? One of the worlds biggest sporting events on the doorstep for a day and all you can come up with is
an utterly inane 'why bother'?? I expect you're one of those people who would rather have had a walnut whip than the olympics.

All this means is that most people who are disinterested like me and dave mp will have their every day lives disrupted like the Olympics and anyhow, locals will be the last to get a look in, it is all for the VIP's.

Don't be ridiculous! The route will be rammed out with locals-how can it be all for vips? Only the truly miserable and soulless won't turn out to watch it pass, it really is a spectacle, and it'll be one day only. In France, it's considered an honour to have the tour pass through, and good for business, towns fight for it!
as it passes through Epping and hits the new road it's towards the end of the stage, it'll likely be a breakaway being chased down before getting into London, a long straight, a narrowing time gap...I can't wait...allez allez!!!!

Book the day off work! That's what I've done! It's a chance to see one of the greatest sporting events in the world right on my doorstop. Can't wait!

I'm sure you'll manage to find a way to type tripe on this website like you do every other day.
