Part of the route of the Tour de France has been officially confirmed, despite the remaining part of the route to central London remaining undecided.
Stage three of this year’s le tour on July 7 will run from Cambridge to Epping Road, with the remaining route through Redbridge, Waltham Forest and central London yet to be decided.
Roads will be closed for several hours before cyclists arrive from Chelmsford, and travel through Willingale, Fyfield, Moreton, North Weald and Epping.
The tour will cover 33 miles of road between Epping Forest, Redbridge and Waltham Forest before entering central London and finishing at Trafalgar Square.
Councils are already making plans for road closures and traffic disruption.
