West Ham star Joe Cole unveiled a new and unique scanner at a hospital today.
Holly House Hospital in High Road, Buckhurst Hill, invested £1 million in the state-of-the-art Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) machine, which is the first of its kind in Essex.
The unit is more powerful than previous models and is able to supply more detail when detecting conditions including heart disease, cancer and brain injuries.
The scanner will be larger and more powerful than previous machines and patients will no longer need a dye injected into them in order for doctors to detect internal images of patients.
