Two men have been charged with the manslaughter of a father-of-two from Chigwell.

Have-a-go hero Shammi Atwal died after chasing robbers from his shop, Glen and Co. Cash and Carry in Barking on October 14.

Deibidas Sumskas, 25, of Ottley Road in Stratford, and Edgaras Balezantis, 25, of Tollgate road in East Ham, were charged yesterday with manslaughter and conspiracy to commit robbery.

They appeared at Barkingside Magistrates Court today and have been remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on February 17.

Four men appeared for a court hearing on Monday in connection with the death of the business owner.

Vidmantas Gonskoves, 26, of Grange Road in Plaistow, Aurimas Diliunas, 27, of no fixed abode, Farhan Sheikh, 38 of Thornhill Gardens Barking, and Reiniks Kivers, 28 of no fixed abode, have been remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey for trial on April 7.
