An elderly man has suffered a suspected broken leg after he was trapped in his car after a collision this morning in Loughton.
He was cut from his car by firefighters who were called to the scene just before 8am along with paramedics and the air ambulance.
A black Lotus sports car and a silver hatchback crashed just after 8am in Wellfields.
It is not known which car the elderly man was in.
The driver of the other vehicle also suffered injuries which are described by the ambulance service as non-life threatening.
Both people were taken to Whipps Cross Hospital by ambulance.
