The Lower River Roding is on flood alert for a second time in two weeks following heavy rainfall in the area. 

The alert was issued at 6.00am on Saturday due to high water levels which began to fall on Sunday evening. 

Dry weather is forecast for today but unsettled weather is forecast for the remainder of the week. 

Areas with low-lying land which may be affected include Wanstead, South Woodford, Woodford Green, Ilford, East Ham and Barking.

Chigwell Road flooded about ten year ago so this is nothing new, although I heard that it is hard to get inSURance in flood risk locations.
