A 30-year-old bookshop is officially re-launching with a visit from a well-known children’s author.
The Village Bookshop, in High Road, Woodford Green, changed hands in December and is now owned by ex-lawyer Saba Rais.
The event will take place on Saturday at 1.30pm and will feature children’s author Andy Stanton, author of the Mr Gum children’s series.
Miss Rais, an aspiring author, intends to host various events this year and collaborate with local schools to help increase children’s literacy.
