A woman has died after being rescued from a collapsed building.
The woman, in her 40s was, freed from the shed-like structure in Ongar Road, Abridge, on Friday at around 5.05pm by Essex Fire and Rescue Crews after being trapped for 45 minutes.
The woman initially sustained a leg injury from a fallen roof tile but later lost consciousness and suffered a cardiac arrest.
Paramedics said she was stabilised and taken to Whipps Cross University Hospital in Leytonstone in a critical condition and later died.
