A headteacher has been praised for helping to raise standards at a primary school.

Highlands Primary School in Lennox Gardens, Ilford, was rated good during an inspection last month, after previously gaining a satisfactory rating.

Referring to headteacher, Kulvarn Atwal, the report said: “The inspirational work of the headteacher has developed the leadership team to work collaboratively, with a deepened focus on high-quality learning for both staff and pupils.”
