A public inquiry will consider an appeal against an enforcement notice handed to the owner of a travellers’ site.
William Doherty, of Roydon Lodge Chalet Estate in High Street, Roydon, has been ordered to open up the site for leisure as well as residential use.
Mr Doherty has received four enforcement notices from Epping Forest District Council since he moved to the site in 2008.
Only one, which ordered the removal of concrete and sheds, was upheld.
Of the previous two, one was withdrawn by the council over issues relating to potential flooding and the other was quashed due to problems with the accuracy of the order document.
The inquiry will be held by an inspector apoointed by the government on September 10 and 11 at 10am in the council chamber at Epping ForestDistrict Council’s offices in High Street, Epping.
