The Tube strike planned for later today has been called off after talks between unions and Transport for London.
The planned 48-hour strike was due to go ahead at 9.30pm tonight.
The Transport Salaried Staffs Association at midday tweeted that it and National Union of Rail, Maritime and Transport Workers union had agreed to suspend the walkout.
But the tweet was deleted minutes later, and RMT said they have not yet made a decision.
RMT have now confirmed they will also be suspending the strike.
The unions staged a strike last week in protests at plans to close ticket offices on the network, with the loss of 950 jobs.
A TSSA spokesman said: “We have now agreed a process where all our serious concerns over safety and job losses will be seriously addressed through the normal channels
“We are obviously pleased that we have agreed this process, which will allow us to suspend our strike immediately, and cancel it later when the agreement reaches us in a formal document.”
