The Wanstead Marie Curie group are hosting their first charity event
A fundraising group for Marie Curie Cancer Care will be holding their first independent event next month.
The Wanstead group will be hoping to raise around £500 from a quiz night at the South Woodford Scout Hut on High Road on March 1.
The event marks the start of the charity's nationwide annual month-long campaign The Great Daffodil Appeal.
The group, set up in July last year, meets every third Tuesday of the month at Wanstead United Reformed Church.
Collections will also be taking place on Wanstead High Street on March 8 and 15.
