A £36 million contract has been awarded to maintain Waltham Forest's streets.
The deal with civil engineering firm JB Riney & Co will run for an initial five years, with an option for a further three years.
Responsibilities include footway, carriageway and structural maintenance, new traffic schemes and highway improvements, road markings and an emergency call out service.
The council has also selected Kier MG to maintain street lighting for eight years in a deal worth £14.5 million.
