Teenagers charged with robbing an 11-year-old at knife point are set to appear in court today.
A 14-year-old and a 16-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, are alleged to have robbed the boy of his iPhone4 and case worth £310 while carrying a 9cm knife.
The incident happened in Brooker Road, Waltham Abbey shortly before 5.30pm on January 23.
The 14-year-old is also charged with causing criminal damage to police property to the value of £250 on the same day.
The two boys, from Enfield, were detained by members of the public after the incident and then arrested by police.
They will appear at Chelmsford Youth Court today.
