Students at a Walthamstow primary school turned their hands to entrepreneurship yesterday as part of a business competition.
Year 6 pupils at Coppermill Primary School in Edward Road pitched ideas at an enterprise fair yesterday as part of a Young Apprentice competition.
The 10 and 11 year olds wrote business plans complete with costings and profit projections and planned advertising campaigns.
When headteacher Figen Bektasoglu approved the plan each group was loaned £5 to buy materials and ingredients.
Business ideas included selling goods such as smoothies and popcorn or running competitions for prizes.
The year group made a profit of £285 from a starting stake of £45.
