67,000 records have been added to Essex Records Office
A total of 67,000 images have been added to the Essex Records Office (ERO).
Records of baptisms, marriages and burials across the county and areas such as Chingford, Leytonstone, Leyton and Walthamstow are now available at www.essexancestors.co.uk.
The ERO now has 580,000 records the oldest of which date back to 1538 however not all records have survived or been deposited with ERO.
Essex Ancestors will also be available from Waltham Forest Archives free of charge.
