A drama society is set to bring a popular TV show to the stage.
Acorn Antiques, which was first aired over two decades ago, is to be performed by Chigwell Row Operatic and Dramatic Society in April.
Victoria Wood's spoof soap opera about the goings-on of an antiques shop is remembered by UK audiences for its “poor acting, wobbly sets and missed cues” according to the society.
Jenny Witchell, co-musical producer said: “We are branching out to try something a bit different for CROADS, something a little adventurous, tongue in cheek and slightly off the wall.
“With members of all ages we are going to do this very funny comic piece great justice”.
Performances are at Victory Hall in Chigwell from April 9 until 12.
Tickets priced at £9 are available from March 3 here, or by calling 07922 617930.
