An MP has organised a charity swimming fundraising event.

Leyton and Wanstead MP John Cryer has organised the school relay swim and will captain a 30 minute endurance relay at the London Aquatics Centre in the Olympic Park on April 3 at 11am.

He has raised £166 towards his £2000 target so far. Pool Aid 2014 is raising money for Alzheimer’s Society.

Sponsor MP Cryer at www.justgiving.com/john-cryer-mp or text POOL76 and the amount you would like to sponsor to 70070.

Brings back memories when his mummy took him swimming , putting his armbands on, a little labour MP he was, she taught him to swim backwards, to get out of bother.

Bit pathetic Village Cranberry! Come on give the guy a break, its raising money for Alzheimers. A cuase I imagine most people would think worthy. Instead you make daft political point scoring out of it!

I'll make a donation certainly.

Some people donate to charity without publicising how wonderful they are.

It is good to give and support such by monthly standing order.
