Police are hunting a man and woman caught on CCTV who are believed to have snatched an 84-year-old woman's handbag from her trolley.

The theft happened on December 30 while the woman walked home in Princes Road, Buckhurst Hill, at about 10.15am.

Her handbag was taken from the shopping trolley she was pulling and her cards were subsequently used at a supermarket cashpoint.

The woman did not see who stole the bag, but police believe they are the same duo who stole £40 from a 76-year-old man in Saffron Walden on December 22.

Anyone with information can call police or Crimestoppers.
