Police have confirmed the name of a woman who fell to her death from a footbridge in an apparent suicide.

Elif Orman, also known known as Ellie Orman, died last Monday when she appeared to throw herself on to the A406 North Circular, near the Billet Road roundabout.

The 29-year-old was born in Turkey and moved to the UK at a young age. She also has an 11-year-old son.

She is believed to have been engaged after the breakdown of her first marriage.

Ms Orman, from Tottenham, is believed to have been suffering from depression.
Her funeral was held on Thursday at Tottenham Park Cemetery in Montagu Road, Enfield.

pectore says...

Ugh. I saw another person jump, from I believe the same footbridge once - it was an awful scene, passers-by who'd witnessed it were screaming and crying. To anyone out there who feels like this, please know that there is help out there - you can contact the Samaritans on 08457 90 90 90 or in North London Maytree on 020 7263 7070 (they'll also provide a free 4-day stay at a sanctuary, to provide counseling and respite care to those in desperate need). My deep condolences to Ms Orman's family.
