Three speakers will talk about what life is like in Britain for Romanians and Bulgarians.

Redbridge Equalities and Community Council (RECC) will host the event Hear the Truth, Don’t Believe the Myths on March 4 in a bid to change perceptions of immigrants from the new European Union members.

The meeting will take place in Gants Hill United Reformed Church in Woodford Avenue, Gants Hill, at 7.30pm.

David Landau, from RECC, said: “We hear a lot of scare stories in the media and from politicians about people coming from Romania and Bulgaria after the changes in the immigration rules – this is a hot topic.”

I will bear this talk in mind when I next see an unlicensed crew collecting scrap and rubbish and the next edition of ' the Boroughs Most Wanted' as despite most of them having East European names will consider that it could be a myth.
