A flag will be flown to mark Commonwealth Day.
Epping Forest District Council will raise the flag at the civic offices in High Street at 10am on March 10.
Chairman of Epping Forest District Council, Mary Sartin, said: “I am delighted that the first event of this kind to mark Commonwealth Day is taking place during my year in office.
"I hope that it inspires residents of Epping Forest to join together with others across the world and recognise what the commonwealth stands for and the opportunities it can bring.”
The flag was presented to the council by Lord Petre at Ingatetone Hall in Ingatestone.
