A woman in her 20s has been taken to hospital with “life threatening” injuries after a crash this morning.
The ambulance service was called at around 6am to the crash on Epping Road, between the Wake Arms Roundabout and Upshire, Crown Hill.
A man, believed to be aged around 50, was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital with an arm and leg injury and another woman was also taken to Princess Alexandra with minor injuries.
The crash between two vehicles caused disruption on surrounding roads this morning, with long tailbacks heading into Epping.
A Police cordon remains in place as the investigation into the crash gets under way.
Sally Kingham, personal assistant to Epping St John’s School headteacher George Yerosimou, said her thoughts are with those directly affected by the crash.
The opening of a memorial garden at the school for pupils and staff who have died has been delayed this morning.
