Seven garages will be demolished to make way for new homes.

The old Red Cross Hall land in Roundhills, Waltham Abbey will be transformed into six-house development.

Epping Forest District Council’s planning committee gave the go ahead to the project despite objection from neighbours.

The affordable housing development on the council owned site will be made up of four three-bedroom homes and two one-bedroom properties with gardens and parking.

Waltham Abbey Town Council and some residents objected to the proposal over parking and landscaping concerns.
