Young people studying outside of school or university hours can now apply for educational grants.
The Leverton Educational Foundation, based in the Abbey Church Centre, and affiliated to Waltham Abbey Church in Highbridge Street, has opened its application process for grants payable in September.
The charity offers sums of £50 to £250 to support students pursuing extracurricular tuition in any subject and larger grants are available for exceptional applications.
Anyone under 25 and living in the Waltham Abbey area including High Beach, Upshire and Sewardstone, is eligible for the grants. Applications can be from individuals or organisations and must be received by May 31.
For more information call the foundation on 01992 767897.
