Trades unionists will host a meeting next week to discuss difficulties faced by migrants in east London.
Redbridge Trades Union Council (RTUC) will address issues such as low wages and intimidation by employers.
Secretary Bob Archer said: “From Jewish workers in the East End of London 100 years ago to workers from many parts of the world today working as cleaners, farm labourers and builders - migrants have fought back against employers and agencies who try and get away with paying starvation wages and zero hours contracts.”
The meeting will take place at RAFA House in Cranbrook Road, Ilford, on March 14 at 7.30pm
