A shopowner is appealing for the public’s help to trace thieves who stole thousands of pounds worth of equipment.

Burglars broke into Mohammed Sajid’s computer repair shop, S Tech London, in Colworth Road, Leytonstone, in the early hours of February 6.

The foour men approached the store at 3am and cut the lock to the shutters with a crowbar.

They then broke through the frame of the main glass door.

The shop has remained closed since to repair damage, which is expected to take two weeks.

Mr Sajid, 23, said: “I feel scared re-opening the shop in case they return to steal from me again.

“The stuff they stole has probably been shifted, but if I can get any of it back that would be great.

“More than anything I just want them to be caught."

A blurred CCTV image provided by the SNS Local off-licence next door shows the suspected burglars outside the Leytonstone store.

Some of the items stolen included Playstations, iPads, laptops, Sony tablets, smartphones and an iMac.

Mr Sajid estimated the value of the goods at £5,000, and said they constituted about a tenth of his total stock.

He added: “The CCTV shows a vehicle parked further down the road and the men carrying my stuff to the car. It looks as though they made two trips and was only in my shop for 15 minutes.”

Police have been contacted for a comment.
