The provision of sixth form education will be the main topic at Loughton Town Council’s Annual Town Meeting.

Headteachers Paul Banks from Roding Valley High School and Christian Cavanagh from Debden Park High School are to give a presentation on the establishment of a consortium to provide sixth form education in the District.

Town Mayor Jill Angold-Stephens will give reports on the council’s achievements and goals.

This will be followed by a question and answer session which allows residents to express their views and ask questions about issues in the town.

It will be held on Wednesday, March 19 at The Murray Hall, in Borders Lane.

The hall doors open at 7.30pm to allow residents ample time to view the displays mounted by a number of local voluntary organisations before the formal meeting commences at 8pm.

Following the meeting, light refreshments will be served.
